Celebrating the Apollo 14 Moon Landing Fifty Year Anniversary

Apollo 14 was the eighth crewed mission in the United States Apollo program, the third to land on the Moon, and the first to land in the lunar highlands. It was the last of the "H missions", landings at specific sites of scientific interest on the Moon for two-day stays with two lunar extravehicular activities.

The mission was commanded by Alan B. Shepard along with Command Module Pilot Stuart Roosa and Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell. Shepard and Mitchell landed in Fra Mauro lunar highlands. They collected over 95 pounds of lunar material from their 9 hour and 22 minutes EVA's (2).

Shepard has the distinction of the first human to play golf on the moon. Shepard commented that when he hit the ball it went, "For miles and miles!".

Below is my tribute to the mission with my model of the Antares lunar lander, astronaut figures, and a Modular Equipment Transport. The kit is by Dragon.
